Matthew - The Big 17!

Thank you for being a great example of what a brother and son should be.
We love you very much.
Happy Birthday!

I think Christian is more excited about the prospect of this present than Matthew!
Is he getting a camera? a hat?
What!
Shorts, vintage plaid too!!!

Yep, it's 34 degrees outside ... well, you know teenagers these days ...
flipflops, shorts and a beanie to keep their ears warm.
Matthew, those look like the shorts that old people wore when your parents were teenagers!!!

What would a hunter do without his jerky?
We can smell him coming!

People write some cruel, heartless cards.

No trick candles or blow dryers this year!
Just a precious cheesecake.

To explain ... a few years ago Matthew got trick candles on his b-day cake.
SO...the next year, he came armed to his b-day party...with a blow dryer!

Hey old man, Happy 17th!

The kids told me a little bit about the game "Ivanhoe" and coincidentally, I just finished reading the book. Is the game based on the original story at all?

See you Saturday!

Happy Birthday, Matthew! I thought you just turned 16. Wow, that year went fast. I think Grandpa would love your new shorts! (And my kids would, too, I'm sure!)
Love you!

Matthew, would it be too much to say I remember changing your diaper? :-) You were a cute little kid, and it"s hard to believe you are a man so soon.
I hope this year is better than the last.
Love
Aunt Heather
