Happy 4th of July!

Being the cool family that we are, we didn't just WATCH a parade;
we rode in one of the firetrucks with the Kentland Fire Department.
(This is one of the bonuses of your dad being a firefighter...
besides being wakened at unearthly hours by the pager!)
Dad drove the firetruck and Mom, Matthew, and Nikki rode in the back of the cab
and smiled, and waved, and threw candy...
We only hit a few people! :)

Levi rode with the Water Rescue unit
so he wasn't QUITE as cool as us.

We only got one pic and it isn't very good
because our Granny ( who took the pic ) didn't know
we were riding in the firetruck until we drove by!

How fun! The real question is, "How many people did you TRY to hit with a well aimed piece of candy?"
Next time are you riding the horses in the parade? This year some girls in our parade painted the horses hoofs with glittery red (or blue) paint, and somehow painted stars on their withers.
